Located at Clontarf on the Redcliffe Peninsula, Grace Lutheran Primary School was established in 1971. Initially operating with one class at each year level, the school grew into a Years 1-7 double stream school from 1989 onwards.

In 2006, enrolments grew again with the introduction of the full time Prep Year.  As a result in 2011 we commenced triple streaming (three classes at each year level) with three Prep classes for the first time. From 2014, the school offered Prep to Year 6 classes following the transition of Year 7 to secondary school.

The school is a co-educational primary school owned and operated by the Queensland District of the Lutheran Church of Australia. It works in partnership with Grace Lutheran Church, Redcliffe, and is governed by a School Council that consists of school parents and members of Grace Church.
