Grace Lutheran Primary School is owned and operated by the Lutheran Church of Australia Queensland District.

The church appoints the School Council, a body responsible for governing the school.  The School Council is responsible for general oversight, with the day to day operations of the school managed by the Principal and leadership team.

The School Council has up to ten members, drawn from the Lutheran Church and other Christian denominations with backgrounds in areas including education, finance, theology and business.  School Council meets with the school executive team once per month during school terms.  To operate efficiently, School Council also operates three sub committees responsible for monitoring and evaluating school operations in the areas of Finance, Strategic Planning and Positioning, and the School Environment including Workplace Health and Safety.  These sub committees also meet once per month during school terms and are made up of at least one School Council member with other committed and interested community members.
