CYBER SAFETY RAINBOW DAY

21-Jul-2015

Congratulations Grace Community for a wonderful Cyber Safe Rainbow day last Friday 17 July!

Our students and staff certainly looked colourful in their rainbow accessories... all in the name of raising the awareness of the importance of being safe online.

There were over 200 Cyber Safe Rainbows returned to school with a great list of tips to help us be aware of the 6 awareness areas.

Congratulations to Sophie in Year 3 who won a $50 voucher at Dick Smith electronics as her entry was drawn at random from the 200 entries. Congratulations to 4D for being the lucky class to have their rainbow drawn out and win some rainbow Paddle Pops.

Year 4-6 attended a presentation by ACMA on Tuesday afternoon and all classes participated in discussions throughout the week about inappropriate content, cyber bullying, computer security, digital footprint, identity safety, and excessive technology use. We hope you took the chance to discuss these areas with your child each week as they built their rainbows throughout the focus period.

We hope to have a new date for our Parent Information night soon. Stay tuned.
