Learning another language from a young age is hugely beneficial in helping young minds develop agility and capacity for learning in general.
Learning another language other than English (LOTE) also broadens young growing minds and introduces them to other cultures, traditions and ways of life in general. This experience and understanding are invaluable for our students, particularly considering Australian’s strong multicultural makeup.
At Grace Primary, students learn Japanese through singing, dancing, craft, books, technology and mainstream teaching methods.
Japanese classes for Prep to Year 2 focus on ‘fun’ based learning, while Years 3 to 6 classes place more emphasis on language, writing, reading, listening and speaking in Japanese.
